Capita Updata is ceasing all connectivity, filtering & security services to schools by March 2024, meaning you will need to organise a replacement service.  We know for some, organising the service transfer is a daunting prospect.  Attending this webinar will prove invaluable, whoever you choose as your new provider.

The webinar will cover:

  • Your Broadband options
  • Why Safeguarding & Security is at the Heart of what we do
  • DfE and Prevent Duty compliant Safeguarding Platform to support DSLs
  • How our customers are fully protected from DDoS attacks
  • How we give you control to make web filtering changes
  • Why we have faster response & resolution times
  • How our high availability & redundant systems keep you connected 24/7/365
  • How we can support any Capita Updata early termination fees with up to 6 months free
  • Answering any of your questions

The lead time for a replacement service in some cases can take up to six months. Ensure you allow plenty of time when ordering to allow for a seamless transfer of service.  Schools Broadband provides services to over 2000 schools and 275 Multi Academy Trusts and is one of the most respected specialist providers of services to education.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Connect the Classroom 2022

Posted on 06/12/2022 08:09:00

Connect the Classroom is a program funded by the Department for Education (DfE) that aims to help schools across the country to access an effective and comprehensive, education-focused wireless networking solution. This funding is designed to enable a modern and robust network infrastructure to enable connectivity for staff and students to deliver an improved learning experience. Norfolk, with Norwich in particular, is one of the counties that are seen as a priority area.

The Connect the Classroom programme is open to the following:

If you are eligible for this funding, your school will have received an email directly from the DfE inviting you to join the programme and advise on next steps. Alternatively, if you have not received an invite and feel you meet the criteria, please email the DfE at ConnectTheClassroom.DfEICT@education.gov.uk

For further information about the programme, you may find it useful to attend one of the DfE webinars. Responsible Body/School webinars will take place on Tuesdays at 2pm over MS Teams.
