Help page

We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability and so we have tried as far as is reasonably possible to make our website accessible for everyone. We aim to conform to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at double-A level.

Help to make the website easier to read

At the bottom of every page there is an accessibility bar. This contains our screenreader which will read the current page aloud; the option to increase or decrease text size; a button to switch to a high contrast version of the website and a link to Google translate which can translate our web pages from English into one of over 100 other languages.

There are also a number of alterations you can make using settings in your web browser or on your computer. There are some how-to guides on the BBC website that can help you change these settings to suit your needs.
